Alejandro Nery (pictured) , St.
Bonaventure's top doubles team, won 4 doubles matches in the "A" flight of the
Princeton Invitational to take home the prestigious title. The duo beat
opponents from Loyola Marymount, Penn, Columbia and St. Joseph en route to the
title. The duo improved their fall doubles record to 6-1 on the year.
Senior Mario Arce fell in the quarterfinals of the "A" flight singles draw and partnered with sophomore Dejan Stankovic to reach the quarterfinals of the doubles draw. The Bonnies struggled to find form in singles and dropped early round matches. Stankovic, Nery, Murali, senior Sajeel Qureshi and sophomore Andrew Hart were all downed in first round singles matches. Hart was able to continue his solid form of the fall and win 2 matches in the "B" consolation before falling to Columbia's Justin Chow in a 3rd set super tiebreaker. En route to the final, Hart defeated players from Rutgers and Yale.
